Nathalie Vereen is the current COO at JET Education Services. She is responsible for strategic development, operational management, business development, and ensuring the organisation’s sustainability.

After spending seven years at the National Treasury, Nathalie transitioned to the non-profit sector in June 2020. During her tenure at the National Treasury, she worked on developmental projects funded by the National Treasury, The Presidency, the European Union, Germany, and various bilateral partners supporting South Africa. With 21 years of experience in the development sector, Nathalie has extensive expertise collaborating with government agencies and bilateral development partners. She has represented National Treasury and the development sector in international platforms and high-level negotiations. She served as the National Treasury representative on the national Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) of the Global Fund in the health sector, and collaborated closely with the UNDP on education, labour, and development policy priorities aligned with South Africa. Additionally, she was involved in the national Steering Committee with the Departments of International and Regional Cooperation (DIRCO) and Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation (DPM&E). Nathalie represented National Treasury and the development sector in international platforms, engaging in bilateral partnerships and high-level negotiations with Canada, USAID, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, and the European Union.

She holds a master’s degree in Development Studies (2011) and a MPhil in Development Finance (2016). Throughout her career, she has specialized in the education programming and implementation sector, demonstrating a commitment to driving positive change in the field.
