Basic Education
Introduction
IPASA’s Basic Education Initiative brings funders together to strengthen early grade learning in South Africa. The initiative provides a space for funders to share insights, explore strategies, and identify practical ways to work more effectively across the sector.
Through workshops, convenings, and case studies, the initiative highlights examples of funder collaboration, showing how coordinated efforts and shared resources can address sector-wide challenges. By examining what works in practice and reflecting on lessons learned, funders are able to refine their approaches, strengthen partnerships, and amplify their impact.
IPASA’s work in Basic Education goes beyond knowledge-sharing. By gathering insights, documenting successful collaborations, and facilitating dialogue between funders, government, and sector partners, the initiative encourages more strategic, coordinated, and collaborative action across the sector.
