Louise Sturrock is an education specialist with close to 20 years of experience across the classroom, education innovation, and education financing, and is dedicated to ensuring every child and young person has equitable access to quality education.
After an early career in teaching, Louise worked at the Bertha Centre for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business, managing initiatives across early literacy and numeracy, technology in education, teacher development, and pathways from education to employment. She held a Senior Manager role at Reflective Learning, an ed-tech organisation specialising in diagnosing learning gaps. Prior to joining IPASA, she worked at the Education Outcomes Fund as Senior Associate in the Learning and Engagement team, where she co-led efforts in peer-to-peer learning and capacity support at the intersection of outcomes-based financing and early childhood care and education.
Louise’s career spans both local and international contexts, and she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and English, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, and an Advanced Diploma in Business Project Management, all from the University of Cape Town.
